What is Fitto AI?
Fitto AI is a calorie tracker for iPhone. You take a photo of a meal, and it lists each food it sees with a portion and calorie estimate, plus protein, carbs and fat for the meal. You check the list, fix anything that is off, and log it.
Is Fitto AI free?
The app is free to download. AI scans use credits. The first 100 accounts get 20 free credits, and accounts after that get 5. After that you buy credit packs: 50 credits for $1.99, 150 credits for $2.99, 500 credits for $5.99. Macros are included in every scan, and barcode scanning costs nothing.
Does Fitto AI have a subscription?
No. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Credit packs are one-time purchases through the App Store, and credits you buy do not expire.
What uses a credit?
A photo scan, a voice description or a typed description each use 1 credit. Scanning a barcode is free. If an analysis fails, retrying it costs nothing extra, and discarding it gives the credit back.
Does it work on restaurant and takeout food?
Yes. Fitto AI estimates from the photo itself, so it does not need the dish to exist in a food database. That makes it useful for restaurant plates, takeout and home cooking with no barcode. You can also describe the meal in words, for example "medium chicken burrito bowl with guacamole".
How accurate are the calorie estimates?
They are estimates. Photo analysis is good at recognizing foods and weaker at judging portion size, especially for sauces, oils and mixed dishes. Fitto shows each item with its portion so you can correct it before logging, and for packaged food a barcode scan pulls the product's label data from Open Food Facts, when the product is listed there. Estimates are for general wellness, not medical use.
Is my meal photo stored?
Not by Fitto. The photo is sent to Google's Gemini AI service for analysis and is never saved on Fitto's servers. The app asks for your consent before your first photo is analyzed. Only the resulting food list and numbers are saved to your log. See the privacy policy.
How do streaks work?
A day counts when you log something, whatever you ate. A heavy day never breaks a streak. You earn a streak freeze every 7 days (you can hold up to 2), and a freeze covers a missed day automatically. Streaks of 7, 30 and 100 days add 3, 10 and 25 free credits.
When does Fitto remind me to log?
Meal reminders start at 08:30, 12:30, 19:00. Once you have logged a meal 5 or more times at a steady time, Fitto moves that reminder to when you usually eat, based on your last 45 days. A time you set yourself is never changed, and you can turn meal reminders off in your profile. Other nudges are capped at 1, 3 or 4 a day depending on the level you choose, and none arrive between 22:00 and 7:00 except a streak warning.
Do I get anything for turning on notifications?
Yes, 3 free credits, once. You can turn notifications off again at any time in iPhone Settings.
Is Fitto AI on Android?
Not yet. Fitto AI is available on iPhone and iPad (iOS 15.1 or later). An Android version is being tested.
Does Fitto AI connect to Apple Health?
Not currently. Meals, weight and streaks are stored in your Fitto account.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open your profile and tap Delete account. Your account is closed straight away and permanently erased after 30 days. Signing back in during that time cancels the deletion. Full details are on the account deletion page.

Fitto AI is built and run by Samipan Bandyopadhyay, an independent developer. There are no ads and your data is not sold. More about Fitto.
